Aug 1, 2018According to reports, a woman said she was driving on East Washington Street and just after she crossed a speed bump near Meadow Drive she heard something strike the back passenger side window of her vehicle. An officer noted that he observed the window had been shattered and was held in place by window tint.On July 12 a criminal damage to property complaint was filed at a Meadow Ridge Drive residence. According to reports, a woman said she and her 23-year-old son had an argument regarding the son’s vehicle. The woman said the son had fallen behind on payments for the vehicle so she had repossessed the vehicle and would not allow the son to drive the vehicle. In retaliation, she alleged, the son broke the glass on the exterior front door of the residence. The woman said the son then allegedly walked around the house to her bedroom window and pushed an air conditioning unit to the floor from the outside causing damage to the floor. He then left the residence but returned to turn over an entertainment system in the living room.On July 11 Travonies D. Clarke, 27, Athens was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and hit and run. Briana Nicole Elder, 24, Madison was arrested and charged with obstruction. According to reports, a woman alleged that at 9:06 a.m. she was walking from her car to her job at Flambeau, Atlanta Highway, when someone struck her with a vehicle from behind, causing her to fall. The woman said she observed a silver Kia Sorento and identified the vehicle as belonging to Elder. A witness in the parking lot said that he observed a man driving the vehicle with a woman passenger. After the vehicle struck the woman it left the scene towards Ward Road. The woman said Clarke was her ex-boyfriend and that she had past altercations with Elder regarding their shared interest in Clarke. Officers, including members of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, went to Orchard Grove Apartments, Micha Way, and observed a silver Kia sitting outside an apartment unit.
